Mood Board for Bellfield Green Gym

Mood Board for Bellfield Green Gym

Mood Board for Camelon Community Art Program

For this internship I worked with Artlink Central, a non-profit company in Stirling, Scotland that provides artistic programs and clinics for persons with protective characteristics. I worked on 3 project while with them. I worked as an artist assistant for their ‘Holiday Club’, which provided art classes for young children during their summer holiday. It consisted of one morning and one afternoon session with a supplied lunch between the two times. I worked on a mood board for an interior design project, for the Bellfield Center. It was a design for outdoor patios that catered to persons with Dementia. I also worked on mood board for a partner art group, that was providing pottery classes to the community of Camelon, Scotland. The mood board was to spark inspiration for a ‘time capsule’ that symbolized the community. After the classes, the group organized a party to do a pit firing of the classes’ pottery with food and drink to celebrate.

—Secretary and Technical Director for Mouths of Babes Theatre—

Was a member of the board for Mouths of Babes Theatre and was their secretary for the year. I also acted as a Technical Director for the production of ‘Hamlet’. This included creating a show budget, hiring crew and designers, social media and marketing, going to weekly design/business meetings and purchasing scenic materials.

Set for ‘Batboy: the musical’ at Raleigh Little Theatre

For this show I was a Teacher’s Assistant for Technical Director: Duncan Jenner, during Raleigh Little Theatre’s Teens Backstage summer program. I helped our student learn and work with our tools and machinery. While also, aiding them in the construction of props and set pieces. I worked with an array of students ranging from 8th graders to seniors in high school.

—’Frog and Toad’ at Raleigh Little Theatre—

I was an Intern for Raleigh Little Theatre for my senior year of high school. During my time there, I worked on various parts of the technical realm, I was attempting to use this internship to determine what area of theatre I would like to focus in when I went off to college. I had an extraordinary experience and while it was not always a walk in the park, this internship is what motivated me to pursue my passion of theatre as a career.

I was given the opportunity to work as Props Mistress for Frog and Toad which was directed by Sue Scarborough and the set was designed by Joncie Saratt.
